Barrett-Jackson Edition ’35 Hot Rod Truck
Factory Five Racing and the Barrett-Jackson Auction Company are unveiling a new FFR ’35 Hot Rod Truck at Barrett’s Scottsdale 2019 auction, January 12-20. The new truck is spec’d out for performance and comfort and features a host of add-ons and exclusive upgrades.
While at the unveiling of the very first ’35 Hot Rod Truck at the 2017 SEMA Show, Barrett-Jackson Showroom Division Manager Jeff Catlin decided the model would be a perfect shop truck for the Barrett-Jackson Garage in Scottsdale, which he also heads up. What resulted is a hotter version of FFR’s Hot Rod Truck, loaded with $17,000 of upgrades and special edition parts available on this truck only.
Starting at the chassis, the Barrett-Jackson truck features a special Glimmer Gray Metallic powder coating on the frame before special Barrett-Jackson logo upper control arms are bolted on. A three-link setup is used out back, and all suspension arms are finished in near-chrome powder coating. Custom Barrett-Jackson Wilwood brakes are spec’d for the truck, along with FFR’s premium KONI shock option.
Factory Five included some nice upgrades to make the ’35 Hot Rod Truck's bed a little better suited for shop truck duties. On the options list, you'll see the wood bed kit is included, as well as stake bed pockets, which should improve utility. There's also a nice toanneau cover fitted to one of the trucks in the gallery, which is also a nice option.
Comfort is also a factor when you’re on a parts run, and the new truck features some key interior upgrades. In addition to electric power steering and a chrome tilt column, you’ll also get full heat, air-conditioning and cabin insulation to keep put excessive heat and noise. Trucks also include a Barrett-Jackson embossed dash, custom leather seats and a unique GPS gauge cluster with logo and serial number.
Any options for the standard ’35 Hot Rod Truck can be added to the Barrett-Jackson edition truck, including full fenders, engine side covers, etc. Trucks displayed in the gallery highlight FFR's two different front grill options (raked standard grill, and vertical Deluxe grill), and two available wheel and tire packages.
“Each truck is numbered and comes with the best parts in an exclusive combination. The very first #001 truck is being auctioned at the 2019 Barrett-Jackson event in Scottsdale, Arizona. Serial #002 is being built live at the show, and serial #003 will be available as the first kit for sale.” — Factory Five
