Like the name suggests, Classic Recreations of Yukon, Oklahoma, specializes in building new iterations of classic muscle cars. The company’s current lineup features an array of Mustang-based vehicles and the CR1 Camaro.

Classic Recreations latest project branches out past Shelby Mustangs to other hot Ford Mustang models of the day. The company will now be offering turnkey 1969 and 1970 Boss 302, Boss 429 and Mach 1 Mustangs officially licensed by Ford Motor Company. With the critical blessing from Ford, these cars are dubbed continuations, not replicas, and will be titled as such.

Each vehicle constructed will be built to the buyer’s desired specifications, which includes an array of upgraded and aftermarket parts. The cars will be based on original Mustang bodies or brand new shells, and can be completed with any mix of reproduction and aftermarket driveline and suspension components. 

Customers will be able to choose from several Ford engine options to suit the style of their build. For Boss 429 cars, a custom-built Boss 429 engine will be used with an updated valvetrain and electronic fuel injection. Boss 302 cars can be optioned with the new 5.0-liter Coyote crate or a 363 ci stroker. Mach 1 continuations can be spec’d with anything from an EcoBoost to a Coyote, or an original FE.

“We chose to offer these new models because we wanted to expand our Ford offerings beyond just Shelbys,” said Classic Recreations owner Jason Engel. “The Boss 429 is one of the coolest and rarest Mustangs ever produced, but they have gotten so valuable that most owners won’t drive them. This offers people the chance to own an incredibly rare car that they can actually drive, and with modern chassis and engine tech these cars will actually be faster and easier to drive than the original."
