The new Form-A-Barrier from Design Engineering is a rigid, formable heat barrier that can be positioned around odd-shaped heat sources on vehicles. The barrier is made from temperature-resistant foam with heat-reflective material on both sides, and is able to withstand temperatures of 1,300 degrees with an air gap as small as one inch. Secured with screws, pins or other fasteners, the barrier can be formed to fit tightly around heat sources under hoods and within chassis. Form-A-Barrier is sold as a 12-inch by 12-inch by 3/16-inch thick sheet.
