TRACWRAP paint protection from XPEL
By Steve Temple
Although developed to protect race vehicles, XPEL'S TRACWRAP has a number of applications for protecting paint on all sorts of vehicles. That would include all of the off-road rigs featured in this issue, along with quality reproductions that have high-dollar
custom paint jobs. Whatever your ride, TRACWRAP shields against rock chips, bug splatter, scratches or other types of damage.
TRACWRAP comes in an easy-to-carry roll available in a variety of sizes to suit virtually any application. And it costs less than you’d spend repairing a single ding from a rock chip at your favorite body shop. Made from tough 8-mil (0.008 of an inch) urethane film, TRACWRAP offers a substantial barrier that provides far more protection than masking tape or messy spray-on products.
This product can be installed in just a few minutes and its air-channel adhesive eliminates the need for special tools or chemicals, so it can be easily installed almost anywhere, whether it’s a trail head, parking lot, track paddock, garage or car hauler. As a temporary protection film, TRACWRAP easily peels off in less than five minutes when your vehicle has arrived at its destination (or after a trail ride), with no hassle, no mess and no sticky residue.
It is available in rolls measuring a variety of widths and lengths, from 6 inches by 40 feet to 18 inches by 100 feet. In addition to TRACWRAP, XPEL also offers a number of DIY products, as well as precut paint protection films for more than 70,000 applications requiring professional installation.
