For car builders who need a super-strong structural adhesive, here’s a product that’s designed for both steel and aluminum, and also weld- and rivet-bonded joints. Called 3M Impact Resistant Structural Adhesive, this two-part epoxy adhesive provides an extended work time, but can be rapidly cured with heat, and provides excellent adhesion to a wide variety of properly prepared automotive substrates including steel and aluminum.
