CONGRATULATIONS to Lance and Superformance on winning our August Photo of the Month Contest!

Lance’s top finish in the August contest ups the tally to five months in a row for Superformance. It was a fairly close race between Lance’s Special Edition GR1 prototype and Chris’ Factory Five 289 FIA, both of which were a few laps ahead of the rest of the field.

It comes as no surprise that Lance’s GR1 finished in the top slot in our contest. With wide alloy wheels and a polished exotic silhouette, the GR1 is a totally unique eye-catching vehicle. The functional prototype of this unique Shelby/Ford creation was unveiled in 2005 at the North American International Auto Show and was powered by a 6.4-liter aluminum V10. We hope to hear more on the GR1 from Lance in the upcoming months. Finishing in second and third place were two familiar Shelby classics, Chris’ 289 FIA Cobra from Factory Five and Martin’s 1965 Shelby GT350.

The September contest up and running and features an impressive range of contestants. In this month’s photo contest you’ll find Cobras from Backdraft Racing, Factory Five, Contemporary Motors, and Everett Morrison, as well as a Beck Speedster, FFR Type 65 Coupe, Manta Mirage, homebuilt F40 replica, Fiberfab Valkyrie, Bill Thomas Cheetah, some good old-fashioned American muscle and more!
