The 5.0-liter Coyote engine has an advanced variable cam timing feature that optimizes horsepower and economy in a stock package. However, when you use a secondhand Coyote engine in your project car, this feature often has to be “locked out.” The new Ti-VCT Controller from Holley allows you to unlock and tune cam timing to maximize performance in a custom application.

The cam controller is compatible with Holley HP or Dominator EFI setups and is able to control cam timing down to 400 rpm. The user-programmable unit has been shown to gain horsepower and torque up to 90 lb-ft at 3,700 rpm over locked out cams. Four diagnostic LEDs are also built-in in the event of a cam or crank sensor failure. The system works with Holley’s main harnesses for 2011 to 2017 Coyote engines and features CANBus communication.
