The Smiths 427 Cobra 270-degree electric sweep gauge set features several improvements over Smiths’ standard 427 Cobra mechanical gauges. The set features a counterclockwise-sweep 180 mph speedometer, available in mechanical, GPS and programmable electric configurations, and an 8,000 rpm electric tachometer. An electronic “stepper motor” replaces the failure-prone temperature gauge capillary tubes and oil and fuel pressure lines with electric senders, easing installation and improving longevity. A larger 270-degree sweep provides an improved measurement range and more precise reporting.
