A modern take on a classic Firebird Trans Am
Back in 2011 a handful of guys got together and decided the Trans Am brand had far too much heritage and allure to simply die with General Motor's Pontiac division. What would emerge from that passion is a re-envisioned Firebird built on top of the modern Camaro platform. At the 2016 SEMA Show in Las Vegas, Trans Am Worldwide is showcasing two of their creations – a Bandit Edition, limited to only 77 units and a Hurst Edition, which was displayed in Brentwood Brown, a metallic chocolatey root beer color.
These aren't just cosmetically enhanced skins on a Camaro either. Performance upgrades include a Stage V LSX supercharged 454 good for 840 hp and 790 pound feet of torque. You can also add a closed ratio Hurst shifter, air intake, and hood mounted boost gauge that peaks out aft of the shaker cowl. The interior also gets reworked where you'll find re-faced gauges, re-skinned leather, carbon fiber and other tasteful touches. Trans Am Worldwide has also created a modern GTO, although it wasn't displayed at SEMA.
