Tornado, 30th year manufacturing component cars
The latest news from Tornado is that this year 2014 is its 30th year manufacturing component cars, and 25th year manufacturing GT40 replicas specifically.
“I do not know any other component car manufacturer worldwide that has been in business longer or that is still operated by the original founder,” notes Tornado’s Andy Shedon. And the company has lots of new and exciting stuff happening to celebrate.
“We will be launching a completely new fully interactive web site featuring on line shopping, builders area, build log section, forum etc.,” he adds. “The idea is to make the website an interactive part of building the car and the best GT40 replica based web site out there and possibly one of the best car sites.
A new roadster version of the Tornado MK1 and MK2 GT40 replicas is due for release sometime later in the year, and a Carbon Fibre Monocoque based GT40s is planned to be on display at the Carlisle kit show in mid May.
